What's new

We publish the changes we make to MicupList here: new features, improvements and fixes.

    Team-specific roles and modular permissions

Team permissions are now fine-grained, and teams can create roles of their own.

    • Permissions are grouped under Profile, Settings, Members and Listings.
    • Start quickly with the preset team roles.
    • Create and order roles just for your team.
    • Picking a role shows what it allows, with risky permissions marked.
    Manage your teams
  2. Improved

Team management in tabs and team bans

The team management page is split into tabs, and members with the right permission can now ban someone from the team.

    • Find things quickly in the General, Appearance, Members, Roles, Joining, Listings and Advanced tabs.
    • Members with the permission can ban a member and leave a note.
    • A banned member is removed from the team and their invites are cancelled.
    • They cannot rejoin until the ban is lifted.
    Go to team management

    A steadier bot and cards

The MCPList bot is steadier through short outages, and a few visual bugs are fixed.

    • Vote panel refreshes are retried after temporary errors.
    • The bot keeps working through short outages.
    • GIF avatars show again on vote cards and share images.
    • Spotlight changes appear without a reload.

  11. Security

Security fixes and an update screen

We fixed a set of security issues, and busy moments and updates now show a friendly screen instead of an error page.

    • Formatting can no longer be abused in bot messages and team invite DMs.
    • Members whose timed ban has ended can sign in again.
    • API rate limits are stricter.
    • Sending too many requests shows a screen that explains what happened.
    • A short notice screen shows while the site is being updated.
  12. Improved

Clearer reports: reasons and outcome notices

Picking a report reason is clearer, and you now hear how your report ended.

    • The report dialog shows a short explanation for each reason.
    • Some reasons ask you for a short description.
    • When your report is closed, you get a notification with the team's note.
    • The notification never names the staff member who handled it.
    Read the guidelines
  13. New

Verified members now carry a mark next to their name, and badges can show there too.

    • Verified members get a mark next to their name, like the “Verified” chip on bots.
    • Badges can show next to names as an icon or a chip.
    • All your achievements are on the new Profile › Achievements page; the card on your profile previews it.
